VENTURE Summary

In June of 2013, I co-founded UmbrellaCo Media House with partners Andy Hahn and Anthony Montoya in effort to harbor brand based job opportunities presented by networks surrounding the adventure sports and outdoor commercial industries.

Operating as Creative Director and Producer, I worked directly with my team, clients, agencies, and neighboring production companies to contract work, develop conceptual, and walk both clients and crew through the rigorous and often unfamiliar process of 3D animation, graphic/visual effects, and motion design.

Additionally, see as this was a start-up effort, I was charged with managing business and staff, bidding RFP’s, designing creative decks for project proposals, prioritizing workload and assisting in animation completion when needed.

Myself and team successfully completed 2D/3D animation, commercial post-production and motion design projects for a number of clients including OtterBox, The North Face, Arc’teryx, and K2 Sports.

DISSOLUTION

In July of 2014, after just over a year of successful operation, my partners and I made the decision to part ways in order to pursue individual opportunities within the industry. Though the business is no longer in operation, we keep the company site live for portfolio purposes and though no longer under the UmbrellaCo. name, we still carry longstanding relationships with the majority of our clients and continue to do freelance work for them today.
